Cycling is an incredibly strenuous activity, and you will sweat. Often you won’t notice how hard you’re working because the wind keeps you cool and fairly dry (unless you’re doing hills – then there’s no hope!). In order to replace the fluids lost through sweat, stay hydrated with lots of water. Don’t be afraid to use your water bottle holder or a backpack designed to hold liquid (aka Camelback) – you’ll be amazed at the impact adequate hydration can make on your performance!
