Last week Finn and I trundled off to The Homestead at Centennial Park, Sydney for the annual Blogger’s Brunch. This brunch was hosted by the same PR company, Kids Business Communications, that put on the Melbourne Blogger’s Brunch I went to last year.
Which brands attended this year?
This year Sunbites, Sakata, Australian Taxation Office, Medela, Curash, Lowan, Slendier, luv-a-duck and SEBO were the brands that attended. I most enjoyed chatting Slendier . Slendier make a organically certified gluten free, low carb noodle, pasta and rice alternatives made from konjac root. Konjac is a vegetable high in soluble fibre. I’m excited to create some amazing dishes from these and love that they encourage a way to get more nutrients in to your meal. Slendier made some quiche-like finger foods with their noodles (pictured below) – they were delicious! They also had a Japanese Superfoods chef attend and I really enjoyed getting to know her and hearing some of her healthy eating tips and ideas.
There were inspiring talks from small business owners and not for profit organisations and so many beautiful blogging ladies to chat with. Finn clearly found all this time with the ladies very tiring and I was trying very hard not to interrupt his beauty sleep as I shuffled him around!
Of course there was also a ton of food and freebies which never go astray.
Then there’s always lots of laughter…how do the camera men seem to always catch these moments?! Obviously I found something funny here … I think I had just turned around and realised it was my friend Kate (pictured below) from Melbourne! She writes MeeToo, a blog about things to do with kids in Melbourne. It’s nice when you get to know a few other blogs beyond the online world!
