So I’ve never watched a full game of football until last night’s State of Origin, but my goodness, I now understand why Reis gets so nervous in games! It was intense.
I was on the edge of my seat practically the whole game. I don’t know if it’s:
a) because the game was ‘one of the best ever origins played’ (because I have nothing to compare it to); or
b) if it was the maroons that were enclosing in around us and being feisty me, I was ready to fight but my heart was-a pounding!
Reis’ work gave us free tickets (thanks Army!) and we went with our friends Steve and Jen.
I even painted my nails to match our teams colours. I don’t do things by halves. If you’re going to do it, do it right.
Best of all, these few blues jumped sky high in a sea of maroon and falling beer at the end of the game. Oh Queensland, you keep getting better. Bring on the next State of Origin game!
[My dear Queensland friends, despite my rivalry, I still love you and am giving away a free fruit box each week for the next three weeks, enter this weeks giveaway here!]
