‘I’ve decided my 2018 goals start in February. January was a free trial month.’ Anyone else feeling like this? Well the good news is that it is indeed a fresh month, a new day and I am inviting you to train with me for The Australian Running Festival Presented by Tata Consultancy Services! I’ve put together a free training plan and will be offering motivational support throughout. So all I need from you, it to decide, are you going to choose to join me? Will today be the day you take a step towards reaching your health goals? For 5 of you that want to train with me for the event I even have free tickets (worth around $60 each)!
The Australian Running Festival 2017 – my first 1/2 Marathon
I can’t believe it’s been a year since my first (and only) half marathon! What a huge achievement it was for me with Finn only 7 months old (I don’t think I appreciated this at the time). I would like to say I’ve kept up my running in the last year but the truth is I haven’t…

Time to run again
I’m okay with that time off running because I’ve been enjoying keeping active in other ways. However, I received an email telling me The Australian Running Festival Presented by TCS is back this 14/15 April in Canberra and it sparked my excitement to start pounding the pavement again. Unfortunately, a couple of days later I broke my toe (typical!) but that won’t stop me, it just means less lead time in running preparation.
I’m going to help you run the 10km event too!
A broken toe also isn’t going to spoil my plans to help you train for the 10km event so we can get fit, have fun, run the race and have a breakfast of champions together afterwards.

Let’s go for gold together!
Actually the participants medals are silver, but Finn still thought it was pretty good! Remember, it doesn’t matter your level of fitness. You can be elite through to someone who can only run 500m at a time. The best thing about these events is they are all about having a good time, challenging your fitness and gaining a big sense of achievement – and who doesn’t love the feeling of accomplishing something big?!
I won’t lie, the training is going to challenge you, but you want better results than ever before, right? So you’ll need to do something different. I’ll be here to help you the whole way and I know YOU CAN DO IT!
So go on, who is going to come train with me and have some fun in Canberra?
