It’s always one or the other. I’ve never met a girl who shares her love here equally and most I’ve noted, will tie their identity to this preference, some with more pride and excitement than others. I am a lady who loves to be carried. Of course I am talking of the infamous shoes v handbag debate. A handbag you carry, but shoes my dear, carry you.
Why am I a shoe-girl? A good pair of shoes gives me a buzz that inspires so much confidence. You know what they say, give a girl a good pair of shoes and she can conquer the world. Of course I’m not reliant on them for my contentment in any respect, but they do make life a little more enjoyable. I’ve found there is nothing like walking into Court with a nice pair of stilettos. Its like, if you invited me to play golf and I arrived with my own caddy and clubs you would think – ‘wow, she’s serious about this, she must be good’. In the same way, wearing heels to court creates the same facade (at least to clients – experienced lawyers probably think, this girl has not waited around this Court long enough to learn that flats **shudders at the thought** are much more practical. I ignore them.).
Anyway, at the moment I have a lot of girl friends getting married. So this is a little public service announcement for ya’ll (if you’re not getting hitched and you’re a lady that likes to be carried there are perks for you too, don’t worry, but I will address my brides-to-be first). On your wedding day, you stand. A LOT. Let me assure you, you want to be comfortable in the shoes you wear. This is NOT the part where you think oh great I was considering flats, she agrees! Really sister? Come on, beauty is pain. However, the extent of this pain can be minimalised by a good pair of shoes, that fit well. On my wedding day I wore Mrs Fairy Tale, these delightful beauties by Peep Toe.
They are especially created for weddings so I think they are a little more comfortable than most. A small platform always adds to the comfort too. I actually bought my dress to match these shoes I thought they were so cute.
I would highly recommend wearing Peep Toe for your big day – I wore them for over 13 hours and although I could barely form a flat foot again and my heels sank into the ground when I took them off at the end of the night (my ladies that like to be carried will know this feeling), they were much more comfortable than most. I walked in them, I ran in them, I kissed in them and I danced in them. I have a little rule for myself when it comes to a night out in heels – don’t be that girl that carries her shoes home. I am not a carrier remember – I like to be carried and classy for that matter.
So come on Amy, get on with it. What is this public service announcement? PEEPTOE ARE HAVING A SALE!
So for my brides-to-be, see if there is anything you like. Whether you are a carrier or like to be carried, on this day you will be carrying your heart and sole to the man you love! The beauties that carry you are important! If your in the majority not getting married, don’t worry they have some stunners that aren’t white and sparkle engulfed. Have fun!
