Who else is excited about what the rest of the year holds for your health, wellbeing and fitness goals? We might the nearing the end of March (eeekkk!!) but there’s still HEAPS of time to reach them! So to get ourselves all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed again, like we were on January 1, lets tap into the mind of someone killing it in the health and wellbeing space all year round. As part of the EPW Wellbeing Warriors Series, please welcome the beautiful Jessica Sepel from JSHealth. Jessica is to share about her health and wellbeing journey, tips on how she stays motivated and some of her favourite healthy recipes! But best of all, we have a JSHealth Program membership to giveaway to support one of you in your journey towards creating a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
Welcome Jessica Sepel!
What inspired you/ how did you get into nutrition and writing?
The blog was a personal diary/outlet for me while I was studying nutrition. I was writing about my transition from dieter to whole food eater – sharing the healthy recipes that were making me feel good along the way!
What is a typical day like for you?
I’ve written about it here.
In your eyes, what has made you successful?
My ability to talk my truth – I am not afraid to share my REAL story, struggles and vulnerability and in turn I have created a community who connect with me and my story and support each other on this journey.
How do you stay motivated?
My community keeps me motivated – seeing how the healthy life transforms their entires lives is enough to keep me motivated to keep doing what I do! It is pure joy.
What was the most challenging thing about creating an online program and publishing a book?
It is non stop. 24/7. I can hardly ever switch off. I have a responsibility to keep my community feeling supported by me and so it is challenging to know how to switch off from this.

How do you balance your career and social/family life?
It is hard. I have learnt to say NO when I need to savour my energy – family and friends just have to understand. I see them when I have the energy. I try and communicate often with my family and friends.
What does ‘wellbeing’ mean to you and how do you maintain it?
It means waking up and feeling ENERGISED to do what you need to do. It means having a wholesome relationship with your body and doing all things with balance.
What advice would you give to women considering whether your JSHealth Program is right for them?
The JSHealth Program is proving there is a BETTER way to take care of your body. No more diets. No more extremes. This program goes deep into helping you have a wholesome relationship with food and your body. If you have ever struggled with weight, dieting or extremes around food – this program is for you.
What is the best health advice you’ve ever been given?
Trust your body.
What is your favourite meal for Breakfast; Lunch; and Dinner?
Breakfast: JSHealth Power Protein Smoothie
Lunch: JSHealth Bowl with sautéed greens, sweet potato and a protein of choice!
Dinner: My Japanese-Inspired One Pan Salmon
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I really dislike shopping for clothes 🙂
Is there anything else you wish to add?
Thanks for having me and supporting my journey – so grateful 🙂
